MOLESWORTH, TOO
I have been influenced by the romance, art and culture of the West throughout my life. I was born in Texas, and have lived and traveled extensively in most of the Western United States. My heart always seems to take me back to Wyoming.
In Cody, Wyoming, my granddad, Thomas C. Molesworth (1890-1977) owned Shoshone Furniture Company, his family business, from 1931 to 1961. Inspired by the Arts & Crafts Movement, Tom Molesworth made furniture experimenting with indigenous burls, leathers, antlers, Indian weavings and different cowboy and Indian artifacts.
Following in the footsteps of my granddad, my husband, Tim Callahan, and I (and our son, Thomas) have started our own western furniture business, Molesworth, Too. To date, we are the first of the descendants of Thomas C. Molesworth to enter into the commercial western furniture business. The focus, in the beginning stage of this business, is on custom accessory pieces, evolving into a complete line of western furnishings for the entire home, cabin or office. Our product line now includes one-of-a-kind hand-painted rawhide tipi lamps, tipi wall sconces and tipi night lights; leather/fringed/beaded curtains and pillows; hand-forged steel curtain rods with cut steel rod pockets; magazine racks; leather wrapped bookends; leather wrapped mirrors; various lamp designs; hand painted rawhide lamp shades; candle sticks and candle wall sconces, with numerous other designs and accessories in progress. We specialize in custom, one-of-a-kind pieces. If you can imagine it, we can make it.
Thomas C. Molesworth became the legendary designer and craftsman who defined a new style with his world-class Western furnishings. In the spirit of his work, and with appreciation and fascination of the West, our company continues this fine tradition. There was only one Thomas C. Molesworth. He was my granddad. We are Molesworth, too.
